Task Order 13-497 (ATC-114 Project), Analysis, Modeling, and Simulation for Performance-Based Seismic Engineering. The guidance included in this series of reports are intended to address the need to establish consistent modeling parameters and assumptions for nonlinear dynamic analysis of common types of structural systems used in buildings. This task has been completed and produced the NIST GCR 17-917-46v1 report, Guidelines for Nonlinear Structural Analysis for Design of Buildings, Part I – General, which may be ordered here in hard (printed) copy format. An electronic copy of this report can be found here.

This report is one of four produced in the three-phase project. Reports from Phases I, II, and III of the project can be found at the following links:

NIST GCR 17-917-45, Recommended Modeling Parameters and Acceptance Criteria for Nonlinear Analysis in Support of Seismic Evaluation, Retrofit, and Design
NIST GCR 17-917-46v2, Guidelines for Nonlinear Structural Analysis for Design of Buildings, Part IIa – Steel Moment Frames
NIST GCR 17-917-46v3, Guidelines for Nonlinear Structural Analysis for Design of Buildings, Part IIb – Reinforced Concrete Moment Frames
