The ATC-3-06 report, Tentative Provisions for the Development of Seismic Regulations for Buildings, was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Bureau of Standards (NBS), with amendments funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This second printing of the report includes proposed amendments. (Published 1978, amended 1982, 599 pages)
ABSTRACT: The tentative provisions in this document represent the results of a concerted effort by a multi-disciplinary team of 85 nationally recognized experts in earthquake engineering. The provisions serve as the basis for the seismic provisions of the 1988 and subsequent issues of the Uniform Building Code and the NEHRP Recommended Provisions for the Development of Seismic Regulation for New Buildings. The second printing of this document contains proposed amendments prepared by a joint committee of the Building Seismic Safety Council (BSSC) and the NBS. The current NEHRP Recommended Seismic Provisions for New Buildings and Other Structures (FEMA 1050, 2015 Edition) and Design Maps on CD-ROM are provided free of charge when this document is ordered.
