This program identifies needed technical development activities and research to promote and improve the use of nonlinear analysis. Taken as a whole, the program presents a suite of initiatives that, if implemented, would improve nonlinear dynamic analysis capabilities in procedures that are suitable and attractive to practitioners, while maintaining levels of accuracy commensurate with research models.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe immediate focus of the program is on analysis software tools, both commercial and research software, that are currently available or likely to become available for practice in the near future. The program also explores important needs to help establish a roadmap for next-generation analysis capabilities.
