FEMA P-2208, NEHRP Recommended Revisions to ASCE/SEI 41-17

NERHP Recommended Revisions to ASCE/SEI 41-17, Seismic Evaluation and Retrofit of Existing Buildings (August 2023) provides technical background for many of changes made in ASCE/SEI 41-23. FEMA NEHRP funded the ATC-140 project series under an architect-engineer contract with the Applied Technology Council to develop the recommendations in FEMA P-2208 based on recently published research and focused technical studies undertaken as part of the project. All the recommendations from FEMA P-2208 were reviewed and considered by the ASCE 41 committee; all proposed changes were accepted for incorporation into ASCE/SEI 41-23 (with changes).
