Recommended Modeling Parameters and Acceptance Criteria for Nonlinear Analysis in Support of Seismic Evaluation, Retrofit, and Design
Task Order 13-497 (ATC-114 Project), Analysis, Modeling, and Simulation forPerformance-Based Seismic Engineering. This reportpresents recommended hysteretic relationships for use in nonlinear seismicanalysis in support of performance-based seismic design and evaluation projects. The primary intended audience for this report is committee members engaged inthe development of building code requirements for the use of nonlinear analysisin design, though individual engineers engaged in performance-based engineeringprojects may find the information presented herein useful. This task has beencompleted and produced the NIST GCR 17-917-45 report, Recommended Modeling Parameters and Acceptance Criteria for Nonlinear Analysisin Support of Seismic Evaluation, Retrofit, and Design, which may be orderedhere in hard (printed) copy format. An electronic copy of this report can be found here.
This report is the Phase I document of a three-phase project. Phases II and IIIof the project produced the three following reports:
NIST GCR 17-917-46v1, Guidelines forNonlinear Structural Analysis for Design of Buildings, Part I – General
NIST GCR 17-917-46v2, Guidelines forNonlinear Structural Analysis for Design of Buildings, Part IIa – Steel MomentFrames
NIST GCR 17-917-46v3, Guidelines forNonlinear Structural Analysis for Design of Buildings, Part IIb – Reinforced ConcreteMoment Frames
