The SAC-95-03 report, Characterization of Ground Motions During the Northridge Earthquake of January 17, 1994, was funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the California Office of Emergency Services (OES) and produced by the SAC Joint Venture (published 1995, 179 pages)

ABSTRACT: The report characterizes the earthquake ground motions by (1) developing sets of ground motion time histories for particular sites of steel moment-resisting frame buildings that were to be the subject of detailed analytical studies as part of SAC Phase 1 Task 3, and (2) developing ground motion contour maps to be used in conjunction with regional and individual building damage assessment efforts as part of SAC Phase 1 Task 2.
